Hello! I’m Rudy -
I tell stories about the wonder of science and the natural world
I aim to explore how our lives connect to the world around us and inspire a feeling of wonder and responsibility for the myriad ways humans are enmeshed in the Earth system. I use audio and the written word to bring these stories to life. My work balances scientific discovery with personal stories of real-world impact to show how science is really all about people.

From exploring deep geologic history to the most recent scientific discoveries, I want to share that feeling with my audience.
I’ve trained as a scientist studying geology and Earth’s climate, taught elementary school, and spent lots of time exploring the world around me. Through it all, I try to share what I learn with others through my podcasts, written articles, and in-person talks and field trips. I hope my audience leaves each story with a stronger understanding of how we impact our surroundings — and how they impact us!
